Definitely dive bar vibes but with extremely friendly customer service, and awesome eats!I really enjoyed my chicken Parm, salad and whatever deliciousness you created to dip the bread in is awesome, you should bottle it and sell it.Love the wine pour too…A server, the gentlemen with a mohawk, did a great job.Thank you chef!

This was such a surprise! We got out of a concert late on a Tuesday night and found this kitchen open until 1am or later. It’s a small bar with amazing food and awesome service. Have not had better service at five star restaurants. We got salads, fried mozzarella and an amazing eggplant parm sub. Delicious soft fresh bread with oil for dipping was brought out with the drinks. We were there for an hour and the bill was extremely fair.

Super delicious bar food! The calamari was soft, the truffle fries were truffle-y and not soggy, and the Italian nachos were seasoned well. I was pleasantly surprised - will come back!

This place and my server Pete are both 10/10!! Super busy on a wednesday night, I was lucky a table got up right as I was walking in. Pete sat me immediately and took great care of me even though he had at least 8 tables from what I could see! I got the fried ravioli and truffle fries. Will 100% return at my next visit!

We caught a post Sox game meal there on the recommendation of our bike taxi guy. Absolutely nailed it in every way! Delicious meal and a truly great Boston vibe...without the tourists. We'll done guys!!

Great dive bar that feels so homey. Perfect mix of reasonably priced drinks, quality appetizers, tasty food, friendly staff, and not too much seating to where it almost feels exclusive. Definitely a gem of South End. 10/10 would recommend!

After 15 hours on a train and getting in late to our hotel, we were looking for a place to get some food and drink, when we came across Anchovies. What a cool place when we walked in it was busy but the server and bartender booted us right away and got a seated. They were extremely helpful and explained some items to us and we had a fantastic dinner! The drinks were absolutely phenomenal, and they were stiff!!! No small half pours here! Wow!!!! We are definitely glad we found this place and we will probably eat here again on this trip. I can’t say enough about the environment and the food and the drinks and our server Peter was as good as they come! Would definitely recommend!!!!
